Spring Colours Week: White

Well, I had fun with colours this week.
Spring Colours Week is at it's end now,
but I'm already waiting for the summer week.
Until then, I have to start to photograph more.

Spring Colours Week: Yellow

Spring Colours Week: Greens

For a moment, let's pretend it's still Monday.

Why? Because it didn't occur to me until this morning that Poppytalk's Spring Colours Week was here already, and I kinda missed the first day. But because I've been wanting to take part for ages now, I decided not to care about this little detail. I'll post my greens (Monday's color) now, and my yellows (Tuesday's color) this evening. It isn't that serious, right?

To find out more info, head here and to see amazingly colorful photos from other participants, click here.

PS. These photos aren't new, so you might have seen them already. But most of you haven't, and I hope those of you who have don't mind the recycling. It was long ago, right...

A Gray Day

{via snug.online}

It was gray and foggy and rainy
for the whole weekend,
and Monday didn't bring any difference.

I'm trying to keep the gloominess away
by thinking of cherry blossoms and tea parties
and bunnies and walking barefoot on warm grass.

I also try to adopt this way of thinking
to like gray more:

Meetings, part 1

Today I passed some lovely colorful nail polishes on the cosmetic section of a local department store. Of course, I had to stop and look closer, as if my nail polish collection in 20 colours wouldn't be big enough already. Next to the table there was standing a blond salesgirl and cause she was looking at me, I explained her I had to stop because of the colorful view.

"Aren't they wonderful?" the girl chirped. (Yeah, chirped, she was very chirpy). "I know this sounds SOOO weird but I've been thinking I would love to polish each fingernail with different color for the first of May." Before she had time to chirp anything else I showed her my fingernails, painted with five different colors. On a regular Tuesday. Oh mi God how wild! She didn't say anything else, just smiled in a "my customer is really weird and has bear ears in her hat, but she's a customer so she's right"-way. I encouraged her to put her plan in action and said that first of May is the perfect excuse: no-one would think she was weird or anything. For reasons best to known herself she looked like I wasn't the authority to believe in this situation.

He said my legs look like barcodes

Today I'm celebrating spring with crazy tights, car earrings and color-coded nails.

First I tried to polish every nail with a different color, but in the end it didn't look that good. The darker shades didn't go together that well, so I ended up coloring my nails in both hands the same way. And I have to say I like it. Especially on a rainy and grey day like this.

It's Matter of Life and Tights

I don't know if anyone remembers my colorful tight challenge anymore, the one I was talking about when I found out I have approximately 40 pairs of tights in 17 different colors. You know, wearing a pair in different color every time I leave the house in a skirt for the next two weeks or so. Well, I finally started doing it today. It's been too cold until today, but this morning I didn't freeze dead in my red tights, so it's high time to start already. I also have that black basic skirt I was dreaming of, so no more excuses.

It may be that you're gonna see some feet shots (with tights, of course) in the near future, so better to get prepared. The one in this post is an old one from last August, it's not that warm yet. And in the place the photo was taken isn't any dry asphalt at the moment - our whole backyard has turned into lake.

Before and After

This is me in the lift today,
going down and to the hairdresser.

And this is me later on,
with the new color.
And yes, in the lift again.
Going upwards this time.

The brighter the better,
it really makes huge difference.
I'm feeling kinda chirpy now.

Display of color

At the moment I'm wearing
Black ankle boots with bright blue shoelaces,
A mismatching pair of multicolored woolen socks
Brown woolen tihgts,
A rust red cord skirt,
Brown longsleeved shirt,
and an orange-white teashirt on the top of it.
A black cardigan,
two scarfs, one of them white and other one red
both with russian floral design (including pink, red, green, blue, yellow and green patterns).
And of course, not to forget my at-the-moment aniline hair.

I have to say I got a bit scared when I came out of the toilet and unexpectedly saw myself from the mirror. But when I got over the shock the colors made me smile.

(Of course this would have been easier to represent with just one pic, but then there would have been no reason to write a list. And I love lists, you know.)

The White Album

White seems to be the color of the week.
All the white stuff outside makes me feel white too.

I cannot explain it. I have no reason or even an excuse. I just have a feeling. You could almost call it a need. A need to get something shiny and glamorous to my little life. Sequins, beads, glitter...whatever, as long as it shines. Something to brighten me up. Not that I feel blue or anything, but some shine could always help, right?

This is so weird cause I have never really been a glitter girl before. I have actually had problems with things too shiny. I never use gemstones, diamonds or sequins. I have always seriously disliked glitter. I do not know why, but it somehow changed when I dyed my hair. Cause a part of my look is so over the top at the moment, I have curiosity and braveness to try some other new things as well. It is like a license to be as silly as possible at once. I am curious too see whether or not there will be changes to this when I redye my hair again. And to be honest, it might happen soon. I love pink, but am a bit tired of changing everything around me pink too.
